In the plant kingdom, there are five plants that have demonstrated their innate intelligence, sophistication, and power — gaining victory by overcoming the multiple virulent bacteria, the micro-organisms challenging balance in the fine fields of Nature’s functioning.

There is a well-known formula that combines these five plants — Clove bud (Eugenia caryophyllus), Lemon (Citrus limonum (per)), Cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum), Eucalyptus globulus (Eucalyptus globulus L.), Rosemary Verbenone (Rosmarinus officinalis Ct. verbenone). Yudhishthir is one who maintains a balanced state of mind facing any challenge. This is the quality of Cinnamon bark (Cinnamomum verum). It is a powerful antiseptic, it is anti-infectious — anti-bacterial, anti-fungal, anti-viral — combats stress and mental fatigue, restores energy and joy, and warms and uplifts the spirit.

Arjuna imbibes the quality of focus. This is the quality of Lemon (Citrus limonum (per)), which promotes mental acuity and concentration, and engenders a sense of wellbeing.

Bhima represents the quality of inner strength. This is the quality of Clove bud (Eugenia caryophyllus) which is a strong mental stimulant. It is strengthening, is a powerful antiseptic, and is anti-infectious, antibacterial, antiviral, anti fungal, anti-parasitic — preventing infectious disease, etc. It is invigorating and uplifting.

Nakula has been described as the most handsome person on earth by Veda Vyas in his epic, the Mahabharat. Rosemary cineol (Rosmarinus officinalis Ct. cineole), throughout the ages has been considered a sacred plant. It is an aromatic evergreen shrub that is found all over the world. It is very fragrant, flowering in white, pink, blue, or purple almost all year round, growing in a wide variety of climates. It is able to withstand extreme cold as well as being drought resistant, and is renowned for its innumerable healing properties.

Sahadeva means ‘all good to everyone’. Sahadeva was the smartest and most witty among the Panch Pandavas. Eucalyptus radiata (Eucalyptus radiata) promotes inspiration, mental and physical flexibility, serenity and harmony. It is refreshing, enlivening, dispelling mental fatigue and restoring vitality.
